L.A. Story
ComedyDramaFantasyRomance95 min
Steve Martin is Harris K. Telemacher, a bored Los Angeles TV weatherman whose routine life takes a stranger turn when a talking freeway sign starts offering advice. While Harris tries to sort out his love life, Victoria Tennant’s English newspaper reporter is navigating the baffling customs of early-90s L.A., from its social rituals to its free-floating sense of absurdity. Richard E. Grant and Marilu Henner circle the same scene as the film threads romance through a city of traffic, vanity, spiritual searching, and offhand surrealism.
