In post-apocalyptic Australia, Mel Gibson is Max, the drifter and former cop who gets pulled into a power struggle inside Bartertown, a rough oasis built on barter, spectacle, and brute force. Tina Turner’s Aunty Entity rules the place with a polished smile and a firm grip, steering Max toward a showdown in the cage known as Thunderdome. When that conflict leaves him cast out into the desert, Max crosses paths with a hidden colony of children who see him as the figure from their stories. George Miller and George Ogilvie push the series toward a larger, stranger world of scrapyard machines, dust storms, and tribal myth.
