The Christophers
ComedyDrama100 min
Once a star of London’s 1960s and ’70s pop-art scene, Julian Sklar has spent decades broke, unproductive, and estranged from his children. Ian McKellen’s Julian becomes the target of a quiet family scheme when those children hire Lori, an art restorer with a past in forgery; Michaela Coel is the outsider sent to reach the unfinished canvases buried in storage, complete them in secret, and leave them to be “discovered” after his death. Steven Soderbergh directs an art-world comedy-drama built around inheritance, deception, and the question of who gets to finish an artist’s work.
