Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer

CrimeDramaHorrorThriller83 min

Drifter Henry arrives in Chicago, moves in with an ex-con acquaintance, and starts teaching him how he kills without leaving a pattern police can easily trace. Michael Rooker is Henry, a nomadic murderer whose flat calm makes his routine feel matter-of-fact. Otis (Tom Towles), an old prison contact, becomes roommate, student, and accomplice as Henry lays out his methods and pulls him deeper into a random spree. Loosely based on the cases of Henry Lee Lucas and Ottis Toole, the film stays close to apartments, back roads, and the ordinary spaces where Henry commits his crimes.
