Blues Brothers 2000

ActionAdventureComedyCrimeMusical123 min

Fresh out of prison, Dan Aykroyd’s Elwood Blues is recruited by Sister Mary Stigmata for another mission: raise money for a children’s hospital by reuniting the band and making a run at the New Orleans Battle of the Bands. With John Goodman joining the roadshow and the police chasing them cross-country, Elwood heads back into the familiar mix of car wrecks, deadpan chaos, and stage numbers. Along the way, the movie folds in appearances from B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, and a long lineup of blues, soul, and R&B performers.
