Aaron Kwok is the barefoot newcomer at the center of this Hong Kong martial arts drama, moving from rural hardship into a tougher urban world. Maggie Cheung and Ti Lung are among the figures around him as his search for work and belonging pulls him into conflict, with hand-to-hand action threaded through a story about class, loyalty, and survival.
