Ten years after leaving his friends and family to train, Goku is turned back into a child when Emperor Pilaf triggers an accidental wish with the Black Star Dragon Balls. With Earth facing destruction unless the scattered Dragon Balls are recovered within a year, Goku heads into space with Trunks and his granddaughter Pan, chasing them from planet to planet across the galaxy. Masako Nozawa leads the Japanese voice cast, with Yûko Minaguchi among the returning performers, as the story trades familiar Earthbound battles for alien worlds, strange enemies, and a race to recover the Dragon Balls before time runs out.
