It's Florida, Man
ComedyDocumentaryDrama24 min per episode
Florida headlines become mini-doc tall tales as the people involved sit for interviews and their stories are recreated onscreen. Each episode follows a different bit of Sunshine State chaos, drawing on viral news items and stranger-than-fiction local lore without leaving the residents out of the frame. Stephen Root and Sam Richardson are among the rotating actors who step into the reenactments, which bounce between deadpan retelling and heightened absurdity. Beaches, backwaters, and offbeat local personalities all factor into stories that start with everyday Floridians and spiral outward from there.
