Crystal Bernard is Beth, a single mother whose postponed wedding is suddenly back on for Christmas Eve after her fiancé inherits the mantle of Santa Claus. While Steve Guttenberg's Nick adjusts to a very unusual new job, Beth is stuck selling her house, figuring out the duties of Mrs. Claus, and asking her estranged, socialite mother to take charge of the ceremony. That means bringing together Beth's skeptical family and Nick's secretive one just as Beth's mother realizes she knows almost nothing about the man her daughter is marrying — or the world he's stepped into.
