Emma is a children’s writer who wakes up in her thirties with no partner, no stable job, and a life that feels increasingly off course. Silvia Alonso is Emma, trying to make sense of adulthood just as everything around her seems to be shifting. Then her best friend announces she’s pregnant and asks Emma to be the baby’s godmother, pulling her even deeper into questions of friendship, responsibility, and what growing up is supposed to look like. Barbara Goenaga’s Lola becomes the person forcing that reckoning into the open.
