Zodiac
CrimeDocumentaryDramaMysteryThriller157 min
In late-1960s and 1970s Northern California, the Zodiac Killer’s murders and taunting ciphers pull police, reporters, and a San Francisco Chronicle cartoonist into an investigation that drags on for years. Jake Gyllenhaal is the amateur sleuth who keeps returning to the clues, while Robert Downey Jr.’s star crime reporter and Mark Ruffalo’s homicide inspector chase leads through the Chronicle newsroom, police files, and a city rattled by each new letter. David Fincher follows the case as witnesses disappear, evidence piles up, and professional interest fades long before the questions do.
