When a string of murders stalls an FBI investigation, Special Agent Joe Merriwether turns to former colleague Dr. John Clancy, a retired physician whose psychic visions can uncover what evidence can’t. Anthony Hopkins is Clancy, a man pulled back into a brutal case he’d left behind, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Merriwether works the trail with Agent Katherine Cowles (Abbie Cornish). Their search points to Charles Ambrose (Colin Farrell), a serial killer whose own premonitions make him unusually difficult to track, turning the case into a contest between investigators, evidence, and competing visions of what comes next.
