Loaded Weapon 1
ActionAdventureComedyCrime84 min
After an LAPD detective is killed over microfilm containing a recipe for cocaine-laced cookies, two mismatched cops are thrown onto a case that turns a Wilderness Girls cookie drive into a citywide drug operation. Emilio Estevez teams with Samuel L. Jackson as the investigators at the center of the chaos, with Tim Curry and William Shatner showing up as the plot keeps swerving into broader spoof territory. The movie’s target is clearly Lethal Weapon, but it also fires off jokes at other action and crime hits, piling slapstick, shootouts, and straight-faced cop-movie setups onto the same absurd case.
