At a counter-terrorism summit in Salamanca, Spain, an assassin’s bullet strikes the U.S. president, and the same few minutes are replayed from eight different vantage points to piece together what happened. Dennis Quaid is a Secret Service agent caught in the immediate fallout, while Forest Whitaker’s tourist captures the event on his camcorder from the crowd. As security footage, eyewitness accounts, and fragments of the attack begin to overlap, the assassination attempt opens out into a larger conspiracy involving snipers, kidnappings, and a public square tipping into panic.
