The Path of Excellence
Drama107 min
Suzanne Jouannet is Sophie, a brilliant student who leaves her family’s farm for an elite science preparatory class after a maths teacher recognizes her potential. In a new world shaped by punishing coursework, unfamiliar classmates, and fierce competition, her goal of getting into Polytechnique starts to look like more than an entrance exam. Between successes, failures, and the pressure to prove she belongs, Sophie finds that academic ambition is tied to class, distance from home, and the demands of moving into a different social world. Marie Colomb and Maud Wyler are among the figures in Sophie’s new orbit.
