Across three eras, the same man and woman keep crossing paths as fate draws them together again and again. Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra Jonas take on three different pairings: star-crossed lovers in 1910 Sargodha during the British Raj, an actress and a struggling musician in 1960 Mumbai, and two university students in 2012 London. Each storyline gives their romance a new setting and social world, linking period drama, show-business ambition, and contemporary young love through the idea that some relationships keep returning, no matter the time or place.
