Betty Blue

DramaRomance120 min

An easygoing handyman and would-be novelist in a French beach town is thrown off balance when he falls for Betty, a younger woman whose intensity upends his drifting life. Jean-Hugues Anglade is Zorg, living day to day while trying to hold onto his writing; opposite him, Béatrice Dalle's Betty turns their affair into a headlong break from ordinary routine. As they move from one improvised job and living situation to the next, Betty's moods grow more volatile, and Zorg is pushed into the role of caretaker, witness, and partner to someone slipping out of reach.
