Eda Savenko is a volatile young man whose small humiliation spirals fast: denied money by his parents, he robs a dining room, drinks heavily, and after seeing a girl with someone else, lands in the “Quiet Ward” of the Saburka psychiatric hospital. Andrey Chadov carries Eda’s unraveling with a mix of swagger and panic, while Olga Arntgolts is the young woman at the center of his fixation. From that charged starting point, the film moves through romance, self-destruction, and petty crime with a rough, restless edge.
