Motherland Hotel
CrimeDramaThriller101 min
In a quiet Turkish hotel, a withdrawn manager lives by routine, watching over empty rooms and the small demands of passing guests. That order begins to crack after a woman arrives for one night and leaves with a promise to return. He fixates on her absence, waiting for signs that she is coming back, while the hotel around him grows more airless and strained. Daily duties, awkward encounters, and his own buried impulses start to feed an increasingly unstable state of mind. Directed by Ömer Kavur and adapted from Yusuf Atılgan’s novel, the film stays close to the hotel’s closed world as obsession turns isolation into menace.
