About Her Brother
ComedyDrama126 min
Ginko’s orderly life in Tokyo is upended when her younger brother drifts back into it. Sayuri Yoshinaga is Ginko, a woman worn down by years of excuses and disruptions from Tetsuro, a failed comedian whose loud, inappropriate behavior keeps throwing the family off balance. Tsurube Shofukutei’s Tetsuro is both the family embarrassment and its loose cannon, pushing a long-simmering sibling rift into the open. As old resentments resurface, the film stays close to the rhythms of family obligation, exasperation, and the uneasy affection that survives even after a break.
