King of California
ComedyDrama93 min
After being released from a psychiatric hospital, Charlie moves in with Miranda, the daughter he left behind, and insists that a buried treasure lies beneath the local Costco. Michael Douglas is Charlie, full of grand theories and restless conviction; Evan Rachel Wood's Miranda is the weary skeptic left juggling school, work, and a father whose latest plan requires her to quit McDonald's and get hired at the warehouse store instead. As Charlie chases clues and tries to get underground, Miranda is pulled into his obsession and into a relationship with him that has barely had a chance to exist.
