Tenth Avenue Angel
Drama74 min
In late-1930s New York, young Flavia Mills tries to hold onto a hopeful view of the world as trouble closes in around her family. Life on Tenth Avenue is crowded and uncertain, and the adults she depends on are pulled between money worries, strained loyalties, and the threat of crime. As Flavia looks for signs that things can still turn out right, ordinary neighborhood problems grow into something more dangerous, forcing her to see how fragile safety at home can be. Margaret O'Brien centers the story as a child caught between innocence and hard truths, while Angela Lansbury appears in the tense web of family and neighborhood pressures around her.
