In a French village in May 1968, a family gathers at their country house after the death of the matriarch, expecting a funeral and an orderly division of what she leaves behind. Instead, old grudges, money worries, and romantic entanglements surface as relatives and servants circle the estate with different hopes for what comes next. Beyond the house, strikes and protests spread across France, and the turmoil of the moment begins to unsettle this insulated household. As the outside uprising presses in, private squabbles turn stranger and more exposed, and the family’s carefully kept habits start to give way.
