My Uncle Benjamin

Comedy90 min

Jacques Brel is Benjamin, a young doctor whose taste for independence keeps colliding with everyone else’s plans for his future. He’s in love with Manette, the innkeeper’s daughter, but Claude Jade’s Manette wants a marriage contract, while Benjamin’s sister is busy steering him toward another match entirely. A bungled night at the inn turns the flirtation into scandal, and when a marquis adds a public humiliation to Benjamin’s troubles, the doctor shifts from dodging marriage to plotting revenge.
