Kind Hearts and Coronets
ComedyCrime106 min
After his mother is cast out of her aristocratic family and denied a place in the family mausoleum, Dennis Price is Louis Mazzini, a wronged son in Edwardian England who decides to claim the dukedom by removing every D’Ascoyne relative ahead of him. Alec Guinness appears in eight different roles as the members of the family standing in Louis’s way, so each step up the line of succession brings another neatly arranged death. Joan Greenwood and Valerie Hobson enter the picture as Louis’s private life grows harder to control, tangling romance and social ambition with his campaign of revenge.
