Thelma
DramaFantasyHorrorMysteryRomanceSci-FiThriller117 min
Eili Harboe is Thelma, a sheltered college student whose violent seizures begin to coincide with something far stranger after she develops feelings for another woman at her university. As desire and fear start to blur together, Thelma discovers that the episodes may be tied to abilities she can’t explain or control. Her fragile new independence is shadowed by the influence of her deeply religious parents, with Henrik Rafaelsen and Ellen Dorrit Petersen as the father and mother waiting for her back home. Desire, repression, and the uncanny keep tightening around her as her body starts revealing what her life has kept buried.
