Rick and Fred are longtime married friends whose restless talk about single life leads to an unusual deal: their wives give them one week off from the rules of marriage. Owen Wilson is Rick, with Jason Sudeikis as equally eager best friend Fred, and the setup quickly shifts from fantasy to embarrassment. Instead of gliding through a carefree week, the two men run into awkward encounters, bad ideas, and the gap between how they see themselves and how the world sees them. Jenna Fischer and Christina Applegate round out the married side of the bargain as the couple dynamics get tested from both directions.
