Olivier Martinez is Horty, a French foundry worker who wins a trip to England to watch the Titanic set sail. There he meets Marie (Aitana Sánchez-Gijón), a young woman who says she’s a chambermaid on the ship and talks her way into sharing his room for the night. When Horty returns home, the encounter lingers as both memory and obsession, especially as tensions build around his wife, Romane Bohringer’s Zoé, and the foundry owner. In the local bar, Horty begins retelling what happened with Marie, and the story grows more sensual, more elaborate, and more central to his life each time he speaks it.
