Five years after a fatal car accident sends him to prison, former chauffeur Law returns to Hong Kong to find that Luk, the rural tycoon he once served, now holds even more power in a land-development battle. Law teams with a prison mate who knows his way around computers, rigging mobile phones for wiretapping as he tries to sort out Luk, his ambitious lieutenant Keung, and the men circling the deal. Ching-Wan Lau is at the center, with Louis Koo and Daniel Wu moving through the same web of surveillance, family interests, and buried history. Zhou Xun figures into the fallout as older ties resurface.
