Forty years in the future, captain Ryan Clark is in charge of Avenue 5, a luxury space cruise ship whose routine voyage starts unraveling after a string of technical problems. Hugh Laurie is Ryan, trying to project calm as the crew scrambles to contain mounting chaos and a ship full of increasingly disgruntled passengers. Josh Gad’s owner adds another layer of trouble, with image, money, and basic competence all colliding at once. Created by Armando Iannucci, the series turns space tourism into a workplace mess, where polished service, panicked leadership, and passenger outrage all have to coexist millions of miles from home.
