Pregnant and living off her wealthy, married boyfriend in Beijing, Jiajia heads to the United States to give birth and secure American citizenship for her child. Tang Wei is Jiajia, a young woman used to luxury who suddenly finds herself far from home and out of her element. At the airport she meets Frank (Xiubo Wu), a doctor-turned-driver whose steady help keeps pulling him back into her orbit. As Jiajia tries to avoid scandal and navigate an unfamiliar city, her uneasy connection with Frank forces her to look more closely at the life she thought she wanted.
