The Six Triple Eight
DramaWar130 min
During World War II, the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion — the US Army’s only all-Black, all-women battalion — is sent overseas to clear a three-year backlog of mail bound for American troops. Their assignment means sorting 17 million letters and packages under a six-month deadline, while facing harsh conditions, military bureaucracy, and the racism and sexism surrounding their service. Kerry Washington leads the ensemble, with Ebony Obsidian among the women carrying out the job at the center of the story.
