Vicky Kaushal is Bhajan Kumar, a well-known pandit in the fictional town of Balrampur, where he lives with the Tripathi family under the watch of patriarch Pandit Siyaram Tripathi. When a question about Bhajan’s birth identity surfaces, his place at home and in the community is suddenly thrown into doubt, and private uncertainty turns into public rumor. The fallout spreads through the household and across town, pulling family bonds, religious belonging, and local gossip into the same upheaval. Manushi Chhillar and Kumud Mishra are part of the ensemble around Bhajan as the dispute over who he is grows harder to contain.
