Tru drifts from one short-lived relationship to the next until a favor for a friend changes the pattern. When Suzanne asks her to spend time with her visiting mother, Alice — a widow in town to see her workaholic daughter — Tru expects a simple distraction and instead forms an immediate connection with the older woman. Shauna MacDonald and Kate Trotter lead the film, which keeps its attention on the pull between Tru’s fear of commitment, Alice’s openness, and Suzanne’s increasingly uneasy place between them.
