Carroll Baker is Hazel, who runs a beauty salon out of her house while arranging hit jobs for a circle of ruthless women. When Perry King's L.T. shows up broke and looking for work, Hazel reluctantly considers using a man for the first time and gives him a trial basis. At the same time, the cop on her payroll wants an arrest to make it seem like he’s doing his job, and Hazel has no interest in sacrificing any of her own associates. The result is a cramped criminal network where beauty treatments, payoffs, and murder-for-hire all run through the same front room.
