Chris Evans is Mike Weiss, a talented Houston attorney whose sharp courtroom instincts are matched by a dangerous drug habit. At his side is longtime law partner Paul Danziger (Mark Kassen), the steadier half of their struggling personal-injury firm. When an ER nurse is stuck by a contaminated needle at work, the two take on a case that leads them toward a medical-supplies company with deep pockets and powerful lawyers. As the lawsuit grows, Mike's addiction and the pressure on the firm begin to threaten the fight in and out of court.
