The Sound of a Flower
DramaMusicalRomance109 min
In 1867 Joseon, lowborn Chae-sun risks punishment to pursue pansori in a society where women are forbidden to sing in public or perform on stage. Bae Suzy is the young singer, training in secret and disguising herself as a man as she chases a place in a tradition closed to her. Her teacher, Shin Jae-hyo (Ryu Seung-ryong), recognizes her talent but is pulled between devotion to his student and demands from the king’s father. Drawn from the life of Jin Chae-seon, the film centers on music, status, and the bond between master and protégée inside a rigid royal-era order.
