Jessie Buckley is Agnes, with the film centered on her marriage, her household, and the grief that reshapes both. Opposite her, Paul Mescal’s William Shakespeare is seen less as a literary icon than as a husband and father. Directed by Chloé Zhao, the story draws its scale from intimate family life, with Emily Watson and Joe Alwyn among the supporting cast.
