A young writer is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who vanished 30 years earlier, only to find herself surrounded by devoted followers, drunk journalists, and an agenda she doesn’t understand. Ayo Edebiri anchors the film as the outsider trying to read the room, while John Malkovich is the elusive music icon at the center of it all. Juliette Lewis and Murray Bartlett round out the crowd gathering around the star’s return, as celebrity worship curdles into something secretive and dangerous.
