The Deuce

CrimeDramaMystery59 min per episode

In 1970s New York, Times Square runs on hustlers, pimps, sex workers, bartenders, cops, and the money changing hands between them. The series follows that street economy as it shifts with the rise of the porn industry, pulling small-time operators and women trying to control their own lives into a business that is growing faster than the rules around it. Vincent, a bartender with mob ties, gets drawn deeper into the neighborhood’s power structure, while Eileen sees a way to move from working in front of the camera to shaping what gets made. As crackdowns, corruption, and redevelopment close in, the block becomes a battleground over who profits and who gets pushed out.
