Living alone in a gadget-packed cave above Whoville, the Grinch decides the town’s increasingly huge Christmas celebration has gone too far. Benedict Cumberbatch is the green grouch, with only his dog, Max, for company, while Cameron Seely’s Cindy-Lou Who has a very different Christmas plan: meeting Santa to thank him for helping her overworked mother. As Christmas Eve gets closer, the Grinch prepares a Santa disguise and a theft big enough to silence the Whos’ holiday cheer. Pharrell Williams narrates as the story moves between the Grinch’s elaborate scheming and Cindy-Lou’s earnest mission in the middle of Whoville’s bright, bustling festivities.
