After her mother runs off and leaves her behind, 11-year-old Tomo is taken in by her uncle and his transgender girlfriend, Rinko, who offer her a steadier home than the one she knows. Toma Ikuta and Kenta Kiritani anchor the makeshift family at the film’s center as Tomo settles into their apartment and grows closer to Rinko. Naoko Ogigami keeps the story close to everyday care — shared meals, quiet routines, and the adjustments that come with making room for one another — while Tomo learns what this new household can be.
