Promised Land

The story

In California’s Sonoma Valley, vineyard owner Joe Sandoval is preparing to hand his business to one of his children, turning a blended family and its wine empire into a contest over inheritance, loyalty, and control. John Ortiz is Joe, the patriarch at the center of two intertwined Latinx families, while Cecilia Suárez’s Lettie helps hold together a household already full of rivalries and old grievances. As undocumented workers arrive from Mexico and a hotel owner challenges the Sandovals from outside the family, private tensions spill into a wider fight over power, legacy, and land.
