Suzume
ActionAdventureAnimationAnimeDramaFantasy121 min
After meeting a mysterious young man on her way to school, 17-year-old Suzume accidentally helps unleash a disaster that threatens Japan. Nanoka Hara is Suzume, a teenager pulled into a cross-country rush to find and seal strange doors in abandoned places before they trigger earthquakes. At her side is the stranger, voiced by Hokuto Matsumura, as the journey carries them through towns marked by past catastrophes. Makoto Shinkai’s animated fantasy moves between everyday school-life detail and supernatural danger, with Suzume trying to set right what her curiosity set in motion.
