Weathering with You

AnimationAnimeDramaFantasyRomance114 min

During one drenched Tokyo summer, Hodaka Morishima runs away from his remote island home and quickly burns through his money, his luck, and any sense of stability. Kotaro Daigo is Hodaka, a high school freshman scraping by until a job writing for an occult magazine gives him a foothold in the city. On a crowded street corner he meets Hina Amano; Nana Mori voices the bright, self-possessed girl whose startling gift can part the clouds and bring back sunlight. Makoto Shinkai’s film threads together urban isolation, first love, and the strange pull of a city where the rain never seems to let up.
