After 16-year-old Alice Palmer drowns at a local dam in Australia, her family begins experiencing strange events in and around their home and turns to a psychic and parapsychologist for help. Told in the form of a documentary, the film assembles interviews, photographs, and home-video fragments as the Palmers try to make sense of their loss and uncover parts of Alice’s life they never knew about. Rosie Traynor and David Pledger are among the faces recounting the case, as the search for answers leads back to Lake Mungo.
