Jake Peralta, a talented investigator who treats the job like a game, keeps running into Captain Raymond Holt’s rules, standards, and refusal to indulge anyone’s ego. Around them, cases, rivalries, paperwork, and office politics pile up as the team tries to solve crimes while clashing, teaming up, and competing for recognition. Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher anchor the central push and pull between a detective who hates growing up and a boss determined to make the precinct run properly.
