The Great Passage

AnimationAnimeDramaRomance23 min per episode

At Genbu Shobo, socially awkward salesman Mitsuya Majime is recruited into the publisher’s neglected dictionary department, where a new volume called The Great Passage is inching toward publication. Veteran editor Kouhei Araki recognizes Majime’s unusual devotion to language, while the smooth-talking Masashi Nishioka becomes his opposite number in an office built around patience, precision, and endless debate over meaning. The story stays close to the daily work of making a dictionary—research, revisions, and the search for exactly the right word—with Takahiro Sakurai and Hiroshi Kamiya among the central voices.
