Only the River Flows
CrimeDramaMysteryThriller102 min
After a woman’s body is found in a river, Ma Zhe is sent to investigate a string of murders in a rural Chinese town in the 1990s. Yilong Zhu is Ma Zhe, a police detective whose case seems to close quickly when an obvious suspect is arrested under pressure from above. But loose clues and lingering inconsistencies keep drawing him back, turning an official solution into a more solitary search. With Chloe Maayan in the ensemble, the story moves through rain-soaked streets, cramped police offices, and a town where each new lead makes the case feel less settled.
