On the California highway patrol beat, a washed-up former motocross rider joins the force looking for a second chance, only to be paired with a swaggering officer who is hiding another agenda. Jon Baker expects routine traffic duty, but his new partner Ponch is actually working undercover and digging into a string of armored-car robberies that may reach inside the department. As the mismatched pair chase leads, trade insults, and wipe out on endless freeway pursuits, their partnership keeps threatening the case. Dax Shepard and Michael Peña lead a buddy-cop story built around motorcycle chases, crooked cops, and two officers trying to stay alive long enough to trust each other.
